• Is it necessary to reserve a spot in class before I show up?

Yes, classes are reservation only. Classes operate on a first-registered, first-served basis. Classes are small and tend to fill to capacity quickly, so make sure you book early! 

  • What if the class I want to sign up for is full?

There is a 3-person waitlist for each class. If spots become available, people on the waitlist will be notified 60 minutes before class begins.

  • How do I book a class?

  • Should I arrive early to my class?

Classes begin promptly. Please check-in on our iPad at the front desk 10 minutes before your class begins. If you don’t, you run the risk of losing your spot. Please allow yourself enough time to change your clothes (if necessary) and get settled in! Spots are released to our waitlist at class start. Of course, life happens and if you’re around the corner, you can call us at 626.441.1133 to hold your spot for you. Please do not leave a voice message and presume we will hold your spot. You must speak to someone at the front desk who will confirm with you that they will hold the spot for you. Spots can only be held up to 5 minutes after class start. After that, you will lose your spot in class and you will be charged a no show fee. 

  • Do you take walk-ins? 

No, we do not take walk-ins! All classes are reservation only.I can’t make it to class. 

  • How do I cancel my reservation and will I get charged?

Go to freestylefitnesszone.com and use the Log-In portal in header of the home page. Under My Reservations you can view your classes and cancel your reservations. Reservations must be cancelled at least 12 hours in advance in order to avoid a late cancel or no-show fee. A “late cancel” is considered anything after the 12-hour window and up to 2 hours prior to class time. A “no show” is anything within the two hours prior to class or when you just don’t show up. You will be charged a $15 fee for late cancel and a $25 fee for no show. If you have a class package, the class credit will be returned to your account. You will not lose that. 

  • What does it mean to waitlist a class?

When you waitlist a class you are setting your intention to take the class. You need an active class credit in order to be put on the list, and you will be automatically moved into a class list should a spot become available. 

  • How do I find out what position I am on the waitlist?

If you log in to your account you will check “My Schedule” and then click the Waitlist link. Under each class it will show you the classes that you are currently waitlisted for and the position you are on that list.   



  • What can I expect?

A full body, transformational, FUN, challenging workout, lots of sweat, and lots of smiles when it’s over. Our classes are intense and offer a challenge to any fitness level – whether this is the first time you’ve walked through our studio door or you’re an athlete. Trust us, you will LOVE this workout, how fast the time flies and the sense of community you’ll feel. You’ll walk out with a smile on your face, a sense of empowerment and a body that will keep on burning fat and calories for many hours to come. Look forward to that afterburn!   • What is the afterburn you keep referring to?

The so-called “afterburn effect” is more officially known as excess post-exercise oxygen consumption or simply, EPOC. While this is currently all the hype, it is nothing new in the fitness world. For years it has been well documented that there is a direct correlation between the calories burned post-exercise and the intensity level of the activity. Simply put: The more intense your workout, the more oxygen your body consumes afterward and therefore more calories are burned. We are talking workout intervals performed at 80 percent and above of an individual’s max heart rate. One of the great benefits of this workout is that it is very efficient, which means you can achieve your goals by doing this high intensity interval training for a short period of time and then let the afterburn effect keep working for you. 

  • What is a typical workout like at Freestyle Fitness? 

Science and research has shown us that Interval training is the most effective and efficient way to maximizing results. While utilizing our heart rate monitoring system with each participant, our Signature Freestyle Interval 40-minute small group session consists of a warm-up, High intensity Interval Training and a much needed cool down. We use rowing machines, trampolines and rotational body weight trainers as well as full-body functional exercises that change from day to day to ensure maximum improvements. Come join the fun! 

  • How intense are your workouts? 

They look really challenging! Indeed, they are challenging and Intense. But you can handle it! We promise! We pride ourselves in delivering you the results you are looking to achieve, help you break through barriers and see real improvements in your body and mind. But we are not here to break you, only your limits ;-) You will leave every class stronger, faster and happier, not defeated. 

  • Are your workouts only for athletes?

Absolutely not! All levels of fitness enthusiasts are welcome, from first-timers to full-time athletic competitors!

  • I’m already in shape. Will I get anything out of your classes?

Absolutely! Our classes are specifically designed to overcome plateaus. We believe in changing up the routine and challenging your body each time for the most effective and transformational results. We promise you will be able to break through these barriers and reach a whole new fitness level. 

  • Are heart rate monitors required?

All classes require ANT+ heart rate monitors, which can be purchased or rented at our studio.

  • How do I pair my ANT+ heart rate monitor and start tracking my results?

You can pair your ANT+ heart rate strap with the PerformanceIQ system at our studio so that heart rate data is included in My Stats and your post-workout email. Please arrive 10 minutes before your next class and we will be happy to pair it for you.  Note that whilst a Polar heart rate strap will display data on our Freestyle Fitness screens, only a paired ANT+ strap will upload data to MyStats.

  • What is “My Stats”?

Your stats for every Freestyle Fitness workout will be recorded and stored in your private account on our website, including your average heart rate, intensity level and calories burned. You will receive an email after every class that summarizes your performance. You can track your performance and calories burned over time by logging onto our website and checking your dashboard.

  • What if I’m pregnant or have an injury?

If you are pregnant or have an injury, be sure to check in with your personal physician about permissible types of physical activity before you register for a class. Remember, this is a High Intensity Interval Training workout. If you have been cleared by your doctor, then please tell your instructor when you arrive to class about your condition so that s/he can give you appropriate modifications to the exercise sequences.

  • What should I wear and bring to class?

Wear comfortable, proper workout attire and shoes! We do suggest wearing fitted workout clothing, so instructors can see your form and alignment. Walking or running shoes are required for all of Freestyle Fitness classes. We do not recommend wearing any jewelry to class.You will also want to bring a water bottle and sweat towel (yes, you most definitely will need a sweat towel!!☺) For your convenience, we do sell bottled water, and we also offer free oxygenated, filtered water in the back of the studio where you can fill up your own reusable bottle!*Please do not bring these items to class:Any outside food or beverages other than water Large workout bags Valuables Cell phones (all cell phones must be put away and shut off)   


  • Do you have lockers?

We do not have any lockers in the studio but we do have cubbies for your belongings. However, we strongly recommend that you do not bring anything valuable to the studio as we are not responsible for any lost or stolen goods.

  • Do you have showers?

We do not have showers, but we do have a changing room and two spacious bathrooms with plenty of space to change clothes before or after class.

  • Where do I park?

There is plenty of street parking available in the immediate vicinity of the studio. There are 2-hour and 4-hour street parking spots but please make sure you check the correct street signage. On Thursday afternoons we have the beautiful South Pasadena Farmers Market around the corner, so please allow for some extra time between the hours of 3pm and 8pm. Additional free public parking is available in the old school parking lot (when there are no school events taking place). 





  • What are your prices?

We have a variety of pricing options to fit every budget and schedule. Please call for current offers.

  • Can I share my package with my friend?

No. Packages are non-transferable and cannot be shared.I have an unlimited membership. 

  • Can I take more than one class per day?

Our unlimited membership includes ONE class per day. It Is not recommended to take more than one class in a day. Your body needs some time to recover after a high intensity workout in order to achieve maximum results. However, if you would like to take a second class in a day there is an $18 add-on class charge.

  • What is your cancellation policy on memberships?

If you have purchased the 3-month contract of either the Gold or Platinum membership, you can cancel your membership after the contract time period with a 30-day written cancellation notice.   • What is your Suspension (Freeze) policy on memberships?

All Group Class membership can be put on suspesion (freeze) for a $25 fee every 4 weeks. The $25 fee will be waived with a Dr. Note presented at the time of request. Dr. note must state requested dates so it can be set up correctly in our system. Email your request to info@freestylefitnesszone.com stating requested date range at least 24hours prior to the desired start date and we will get that set up for you. All Accountability and Nutrition memberships as stated on executed contract CANNOT be put on suspension as they can be fulfilled online and this would defeat the purpose of the accountability component.
